Where has all the time gone to? So much has happened since I last blogged.
Good news is I am still on the path to becoming more healthy.
I have continued to lose. I continue to workout.
That has got to say alot for NampaFitStudio. I mean seriously. If
I had not started going, there I would be sitting here farming
on Facebook instead. I probably would weigh about the same as
when I started this....357
Still reminds me of growing up and seeing heavy people. I would
always say "My God. How can a person let themself get that obese. I will
NEVER allow myself to be that way".
THAT WAY... Now that is kind of the pot calling the
kettle black. I was already over weight. Granted I was not that heavy
but does that really matter? Overweight is OVERWEIGHT .
Remember I decided to make something positive come out of the
month of December since it has so many negative things
associated with it. I think someone up above had something to
do with the exact day I chose to start also. Dec 20th was 1 year
exactly that my love of my life (My Husband) was hurt so bad he had to be
life flighted from Mountain Home.
Somehow he fell backwards, was hit and fell backwards or who knows. He
doesn't remember due to the brain injury. The other two people with
him were in the bathroom and he was outside at the rest stop alone.
He hit his head hard enough it cracked the skull pretty much in half.
From the bridge of his nose up and over clear to the back bottom
of his skull. He had massive bleeding on moth sides and front of his brain.
Things did not look good for him.
Alot of praying with the Nun's and
Clergy happened. Sister Mary in particular was very comforting. I loved
her and wanted to bring her home. That morning when she came to
volunteer on the ICU floor and we had been there all night, no sleep
and worried to death. She said when she prayed God had spoken to her and said she was going
to meet some special friends today and there we were waiting
for her as she exited the elevator. I will never forget her.
She prayed with us, Gave us meal tickets and got us a room at the motel next door
(no charge) so we could sleep in shifts and not have to sleep on the floor or in chairs.
She genuinely cared about him and us. Robert was recovering so fast.
The Dr's were shocked since he was hurt so bad. They expected
to have to do surgery. They thought for sure he would suffer from
seizures due to the injury. But he didn't.
My husband healed quickly. He still doesnt remember the accident. Some of the hospital
stay and some stuff in between. But by the grace of God he is healed.
When they were accessing him asking his name, who was president, his address and the date and so forth
he couldn't tell them. He would mutter jibberish, try to speak and couldn't or he
would get what the asked wrong. He would tell them it was
September 3rd when it was December 20th. September 3rd is his birthday.
So his sister (who was my rock and never left me when I needed her most
I love her so much. I love everyone else too don't get me wrong but I am close to her)
and I decided we had had enough of bad luck December with deaths, heart attacks (Robert had
a massive heart attack the previous December before the brain injury) and
bad things in general happening that month that we were eliminating the month all together.
In its place we would substitute another September in its place. Since he kept telling them it was September. We have great memories for September...Our Anniversary..His Birthday..and My Birthday..
Problem solved.
